Founded in 2008, the Bozeman Birth Center has been an integral part of the Gallatin Valley for over a decade. While ownership has changed hands throughout the years, our heart and mission remain the same: to love, serve, and provide the highest quality out-of-hospital care to women and families in our community.
We are a team of devoted women—midwives, licensed midwife apprentices,doulas, and administrators—committed to holistic, evidence-based care that honors the strength and wisdom of women. We believe in returning to the original design of birth, trusting the natural process, and creating space for families to be active, informed participants in their journey.
At the core of our birth philosophy is a deep trust in the birth process, a belief in the innate ability of women, and a commitment to restore birth to what it was always meant to be: sacred, safe, and supported.

We are committed to providing affordable, high-quality midwifery care for families throughout Montana. We believe that cost should never stand in the way of safe, personalized, and empowering birth experiences.
We offer several payment options including a discount for self-pay clients.
While we are currently out-of-network with insurance providers, many plans still offer good coverage for both birth center and home birth midwifery care in Montana. We’re happy to help you understand your benefits and guide you through the process.
Montana Medicaid now covers out-of-hospital midwifery care, and we’re available to discuss this option with you.
For those needing more flexible payment options, we also partner with Credee, which allows you to create a longer-term payment plan tailored to your needs.
