Services at the Bozeman Birth Center

The Award Winning Bozeman Birth Center is a Fresh, Inviting, and Spacious facility focused on Prenatal, Labor, Deliver, Postpartum, Breastfeeding support, New Born Hearing Screen, Women's wellness, and Childbirth Education Classes.  Our Midwives have a nursing background and facilitate in a safe and low-risk scope of practice.

We appreciate a multi-functional space, and we want our clients to know and feel as if they have our full attention.  Why is this important?  Because all over the world most babies are born safely into the hands of midwives.  This is important to us, it should be important to you, and it is what your baby deserves.

In countries that have the very best maternity and birth care (Sweden, the Netherlands, and New Zealand) midwives are the main maternity care providers. Many studies show that births attended by midwives have lower infection rates, few interventions (including fewer c-sections), and healthier babies than medically managed hospital births.

Midwives are health care professionals who specialize in normal, low-risk pregnancy and birth. Midwifery is based on the knowledge that our bodies are well-designed to grow a baby and give birth. At the Bozeman Birth Center our midwives are here to support you in a safe and informed manner. For most of us pregnancy is so much more than a medical event. Pregnancy changes our bodies, our relationships with our partner, our parents, and our other children. Pregnancy changes our sense of self and our place in the world.

Our prenatal visits are 30 to 60 minutes long. In addition to the standard medical monitoring of your pregnancy, we help you with your nutrition, encourage movement and exercise, include your other children, and make sure your partner's experience of your pregnancy is supported.

During your labor, we labor with you.  We help you meet your contractions.  We have beautiful birthing tubs, birth balls, and birth chairs.  We can provide massage, acupressure, and guided imagery support.  We work with you to find the way your body needs to birth your baby. And once you give birth, we are here to support your bonding and breastfeeding.  Our midwives will follow you and your baby through your first 8 weeks together.
